My name is Eileen and I’m a former social worker turned stay-at-home mom to an 11 year old, 9 year old, and 3 year old, and wife to an Englishman. We used to live in San Francisco, CA for for a few years with our kids, but now consider Washington, DC home base.
Before kids, I loved to travel. My first flight was a transcontinental flight to California at the tender age of 4 and by age 5 I traveled to the Philippines for the first time. I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to Europe, a lot of North America, Asia, and Australasia. My goal has always been to visit every continent, and now with kids I hope to accomplish that with them by my side.
By American standards, our children are very well traveled–8 countries over 3 continents. So far they love it, especially the different modes of transportation they can ride in one day. We try to take in the culture, all while they tag along. And many things are surprisingly kid friendly. We hope you enjoy our adventures and that it inspires you to pack your bags with your little ones and see the world.
