The Jarvii The BabyBjörn, everyone had one in the early days right before baby wearing became huge! We were gifted the BabyBjörn Mesh Original Baby Carrier because a warmer climate calls for a breathable baby carrier. It came in super handy when we were in super hot Puerto Rico for sure.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, breathable, soft structured carrier the BabyBjörn is your carrier. It is super simple to put on and buckle your child in–no real contorting like other soft structured carriers. It works great for infants with the added head support (no need for an infant insert). The mesh material makes air circulation as breezy as you can get when you have a baby up against you.
My major peeve about the Björn is the number it does a number on your back and shoulders. All the weight of the baby is placed on these parts of your body, which isn’t so bad when they are tiny. But it does its toll the longer your wear them and the larger your baby becomes.
While not my favorite carrier, we loved it in Puerto Rico. My son didn’t mind it either, and quite enjoyed looking around when he was worn. If you really aren’t into baby wearing or suspect you won’t be baby wearing for long periods of time or just don’t want to invest so much in a baby carrier, you should consider the BabyBjörn
